I mean yes you can still open in full page but that's where the more clicks come into play. I use those suggested records a lot because they are ones that aren't in the hints. I've found some very important information from the suggestions on many ancestors. I hope they never get rid of them. Now THAT I'll make a lot of noise about if they ever change it.TM Lloydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02372961261165982309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5704837170217213689.post-8554049308106667042021-04-23T10:02:38.593-06:002021-04-23T10:02:38.593-06:00I am more upset about the elimination of "Nam...I am more upset about the elimination of "Name" as a displayed fact. In order to modify a name now I must select it from the drop down box, enter the full name, AND mark it as "preferred." Much more cumbersome. Every time I have used this hint process I was terrified that I was adding more than I could see. I use Ancestry every day for longer than I care to admt. I find this hints feature awful. I bypass it by clicking on the name of the source of the hint in the new panel. Ancestry got my thoughts on this when it was tried out months ago.i am very careful about my trees and I actually inadvertently added people already in the tree because of this new hints panel. It is too small for big families. I had a family today with 15 children, too big in a census for that small panel. I hope one can opt out of thos feature please.Philahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13606667616656435773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5704837170217213689.post-3777017556609474832021-01-19T13:34:28.530-07:002021-01-19T13:34:28.530-07:00That's interesting because I assumed the chang...That's interesting because I assumed the changes were done primarily to be more tablet friendly.History Chickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07984934236728821742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5704837170217213689.post-69384983328366850682021-01-18T07:24:31.051-07:002021-01-18T07:24:31.051-07:00Some of the resistance to the hinting change may b...Some of the resistance to the hinting change may be device-dependent. I often use an android tablet. On Android (and perhaps other platforms), the hinting interface scrolls the "x" close box up and out of view. To close the hinting window I need to manually scroll the window down to make the close box visible. That extra scrolling activity is actually more involved than a simple click. I have to admit to being annoyed by the change.Randhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10593698259263193990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5704837170217213689.post-51066436489721709322021-01-15T09:51:55.411-07:002021-01-15T09:51:55.411-07:00Good tips and thank you for the analysis of these ...Good tips and thank you for the analysis of these changes!Marian B.
